SAVOR CLASSIC AMERICAN FLAVORS

The River House and Chef Thomas Sheridan -- the perfect pairing. At The Morris Estate, we have created the ultimate dining destination in Southwest Michigan. We've taken the traditional bed & breakfast and turned it on its head. You will still experience the sense of "home" that comes from choosing a B&B. A casual atmosphere, personal attention and friendly staff are definitely part of the equation. However, expect a new level of food and beverage service. Your dinner experience will rival that of a fine dining establishment in a major city or five-star hotel.
Exceptional Dining Experiences at The Morris Estate

The River House

With snug beds, plush robes, and cozy sitting rooms, The River House at The Morris Estate envelopes guests with comfort and tranquility. Our goal is to continue that pampering at the dining table. Begin your day soaking in the view of the river over coffee or cappuccino in our light, airy Morning Room while we prepare a piping hot breakfast for you. In the evening, wander into the Drawing Room where our skilled bartender will mix your favorite cocktail. Then let Chef Thomas and his culinary team dazzle you with a bespoke menu that makes every dinner a unique and memorable event.

Chef Thomas at The Morris Estate

Chef Thomas

With a distinguished fine dining career spanning over twenty-five years, Executive Chef Thomas Sheridan's journey into gastronomy began in his youth. His passion for cooking was ignited while working with his parents at their family-owned restaurant, a once-celebrated local landmark. This early exposure to a kitchen's bustling environment, combined with his family's rich culinary traditions, taught him both the rhythm of a kitchen and the importance of every ingredient's role in a dish.
